The Clean

Our carefully chosen service providers are also able to work under general specification if the client wishes a general service instead of tailored. Our cleaning training methods means a start with bathrooms, removing limescale from shower fixtures, shower screen and taps. Their routine is to work from room to room cleaning top to bottom. This involves tidying up, removing spider webs, dusting, hoovering, mopping, moving ornaments and furniture that can be safely moved to get underneath and behind, as well cleaning internal windows and woodwork such as doors and skirting boards.

The cleaners will work to the hours specified by the client, so please note that the more time is allowed, the more detailed the clean will be.

Our Quality Managers

Our Quality Managers will keep in touch with you and carry out regular random spot checks at your home. The spot checks are designed to ensure that your cleaning schedule and details are up to date, that your cleaner is working in the most efficient and organised manner and performing each clean to our trademark high standards and in conjunction with your requests. It is also a very useful visit for our service providers, as we can provide up to date advice on new cleaning products and practises, health safety and maintain an important line of communication with our staff. The visits also enable our Quality Managers to carry out an important service provider performance checks which contributes to the ‘performance rewards’ awarded to our people.

The Consultation

Home Cleaning Service

It is common to find yourself in a position that although you maintain the cleanliness of your own home, you would like to get a professional cleaner to go through the whole house every so often. A one-off clean and sometimes referred to as Spring Cleaning Service is exactly that extra pair of hands you need when you feel your home could do with a detailed clean.

The Essentials for a great service

In order to make the best of your cleaner’s time and ensure the best cleaning results we recommend that you purchase the following cleaning products and check that you have the following equipment.

Your Cleaner will need:
A vacuum cleaner, suitable for any hard floor surfaces as well as any carpeted areas and should include all attachments suitable for the stairs and hard to reach corners and crevices.

A mop & bucket, we recommend that you have a bucket with a wringer and a vileda strip-cloth mop. These achieve good results on all floor surfaces.

A long-arm feather duster for hard to reach cobwebs.

A toilet brush or toilet cleaning pads.

If you have wooden blinds or shutters it would save your cleaner time to have a specific blind duster that has separate fingers to get in between the slats, or a small feather duster, although this is not essential.

At least 2 dusting cloths.

Cloths for cleaning the kitchen. These can be on a roll of disposable cloths if you prefer.

Cloths for cleaning the bathroom. (If you have a roll of disposable cloths then these will be used for the bathroom also.)

Old, designated hand or bath towels that your cleaner can use each visit, to dry to a shine your sinks, baths, shower screens and tiles. (This will save excessive use of kitchen towel each visit)

A variety of scouring pads, larger less abrasive ones for the bathrooms and smaller more abrasive ones for ovens racks etc.

A can of non-wax all-purpose furniture polish: such as ‘Mr Sheen’ or ‘Pledge’ all-purpose means that it is suitable for glass, metal, plastic and wood.

Mr Muscle Glass cleaner

A Can of WD40, this can be a crucial part of your cleaner’s kit and will be used to care for your brushed steel every cleaning session.

Plain, inexpensive, white kitchen towel. (the dye from coloured or patterned kitchen towels can sometimes transfer to surfaces and the grout between tiles.)

A kitchen surface cleaning solution that does not contain bleach such as: Method French Lavender (suitable for marble, granite and quartz surfaces) or Mr Muscle

Kitchen (suitable for wood, ceramic, plastic and glass.)

A bathroom cleaning spray solution that does not contain bleach, such as ‘Cif ‘or Mr Muscle Bathroom. If you have stone or marble tiles in your bathroom then please supply a chemical/bleach free cleaning solution suitable their delicate surface.

Grot Buster: this is a very thick, slow running bleach solution specially formulated for cleaning mould and mildew from around bath, shower and sink edges. It also works on the grout between your bathroom/kitchen tiles. Please note that this product cannot be used on stone, granite or marble tiles.

Mould and Mildew Remover: a bleach solution specially formulated for cleaning mould and mildew from around bath, shower and sink edges. It also works on the grout between your bathroom/kitchen tiles. Please note that this product cannot be used on stone, granite or marble tiles.

Bleach, for toilets and sinks. Preferably not coloured as the die can stain sinks.

Antibacterial wipes for cleaning toilet seats and frames, or a roll of disposable cloths.

Flash liquid for tiled kitchen and bathroom floors.

A bottle of Viakal Gel/Spray, to remove long –term lime scale build-up on your taps, tiles and sinks.

If you have wooden Floors: Method Almond Touch or any soapy wood floor cleaner.

Washing-up liquid for occasional use in ovens and microwaves.

If you have a favourite room or linen spray then please leave it out with your communication sheet and your cleaner will make sure that your home smells lovely for your return.

Electrical Safety: Please ensure that your vacuum cleaner, iron, kettle and/or any other electric equipment and appliances that your cleaner will be using on your regular cleaning visits is in good working order and safe to use, with no obvious areas of damage on the equipment, enclosures and insulation or to the cables or leads supplying the equipment. All of our staff carry circuit breakers with them, to protect them and your equipment in the unlikely event of any electrical surges and shock.
